A health seminar for senior citizens was organized by Senior Citizen Care Charitable Trust, where valuable insights were shared on various health-related topics.
Dr. Ramesh Patel, a renowned expert in cardiac diseases, provided essential information regarding hypertension and its similarity to diabetes symptoms. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a balanced diet and engaging in regular light exercises to control heart diseases. Excessive consumption of tea and coffee was also discussed as it can lead to increased heart rate.
Dr. Ramesh Patel also demonstrated CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) techniques, explaining its significance in cases where a person becomes unconscious and stops breathing. CPR helps maintain blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart and brain during such emergencies.
Chief guest, Additional Police Commissioner Manjeet Singh Pipalaj, provided valuable advice on regular meditation and yoga for senior citizens. He also informed them about various assistance available through the police department, ensuring their safety and well-being.
The seminar also included free eye check-ups for the senior citizens. Dr. Anurag Dube, Chairman of the trust, highlighted the importance of regular health check-ups and advised them to undergo TMT and Echo tests at least once a year after the age of 40.
On this occasion, Advocate Hemant Joshi, Bhavna Bhatnagar, and Soumya Sharma were honoured for their social service contributions.
The event saw active participation from Dr. Monica, Anupreet, Mansi, and others, who offered their services to the elderly attendees. A total of 85 senior citizens availed the benefits of the health seminar.
